Singapore, 10 May 2016 – Singtel today unveiled a new version of its popular mobile payments app, Singtel Dash, in conjunction with the launch of the Singtel Transit NFC SIM.

The Singtel Transit NFC SIM effectively transforms NFC phones into ez-link cards. Via the Singtel Dash app, customers can enjoy the ease of checking and topping up their ez-link balances on the go. Customers using the Singtel Transit NFC SIM will also enjoy added peace of mind as Singtel will assist in registering them for EZ-Link ‘Activate!’1.

Ms Gan Siok Hoon, Singtel’s Vice President of mCommerce said, “Singapore has the potential to be the next mobile payments hotspot with its pervasive mobile connectivity and 150% smartphone penetration rate. We are excited to enhance our payments ecosystem with everyday services such as transit, and end-to-end security features, giving our customers unprecedented convenience and peace of mind. Singtel Dash is truly a mobile payments solution designed for life in Singapore!”
