Held in the week leading up to National Day, the GetActive! Singapore initiative aims to provide a platform to inspire the Singapore spirit and celebrate our national identity through sports. It comprises three different elements: Competition through the Singapore National Games, Fun through Sport Festivals and Play through the Active Enabler Programme.
Singapore National Games
Featuring 16 sports and five para-sports that are spanning across three different categories, Youth, Open and Master, the Singapore National Games is set to promote an active lifestyle while forging stronger bond through competitive sports.
Sport Festivals
Held across 15 designated sport centres nationwide and three community fields in the heartlands – Jurong East, Tampines and Woodlands, children and families can soak in the National Day’s jubilance while participating in fun sports games that are catered for all ages and abilities. Communities and corporate members can also get active at Marina Bay as the area is transformed into a sporting hub, featuring an array of Active Enabler projects.
Active Enabler Programme
The programme provides funding and support to ground-up proposals for creative, sports-focused lifestyle-driven initiatives, ranging from mass participation events to workshops and seminars.
