Empowering a savvy and mobile generation with the new Canon PIXMA TS307

As smartphones take on a greater role in everyday and business needs, the new Canon wireless multifunction device redefines the way we scan and copy documents through seamless smartphone pairing for versatile needs

SINGAPORE, 1 December 2017 - Canon today announced the launch of the PIXMA TS307, a wireless[1] printer designed for digital natives on the move with its ability to deliver high-quality printing, document scan and copy, through the convenient platform of smartphone technology.

“The PIXMA TS307 reflects Canon’s continuous efforts to incorporate innovative features in our product offerings through keen insights on the evolution of technology and consumer trends,” said Edwin Teoh, Head of Marketing, Singapore Operations, Canon Singapore. “Working spaces and habits are changing and smartphones are playing a vital role in our everyday needs and how we share content. The PIXMA TS307 was designed in a thoughtful manner to enable users to print their essential documents conveniently without the use of PCs or laptops.”

Going smart with mobile
Weighing just 2.9 kilograms, the compact PIXMA TS307 offers the convenience of mobility for users that are constantly on the move. Whether for work or leisure purposes, the new cost efficient PIXMA TS307 promises high quality prints.

To complement the needs of a smartphone generation, the PIXMA TS307 transforms into a multitasking workhorse that produces high-resolution scans of A4 documents or pages from books when paired with a smartphone using the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app. To facilitate seamless scans, the stylish grid surface serves as a slip-resistant document scan table, on which documents or books can be placed flat before image capture with a smartphone camera. The edges of the scan subject are automatically detected, and images are optimized through the application for brightness and contrast before printing. Alternatively, images can be converted to PDF format and saved to the local library of the mobile device, cloud service, or sent over email.

The PIXMA TS307 is also equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for easy wireless setup, as well as the one-touch access point mode connectivity for uninterrupted connectivity with mobile devices in the absence of wireless routers. Rounding up the powerful suite of wireless connectivity options are AirPrint and Wireless Pictbridge, which further underscores that versatility and accessibility offered by the device.

A dash of Augmented Reality with Message-in-Print
Imagine a heartwarming birthday greeting that carries voices and sounds from an actual celebration, or a photo postcard of a concert that emits the very tunes being played at the performance. The new Message in Print app[2] makes all these possible. Allowing for personalised messages with animations or links to web videos to be embedded in any photo, the meaningful surprise can be delivered simply through viewing the photo via the Message in Print app.

Low-cost ink cartridges with scalable options
The PIXMA TS307 is bundled with Canon’s efficient low-cost ink cartridges, PG-745S and CL-746S. With the capacity to print up to 100 pages in black and colour, these cartridges are the perfect solution for those seeking to print only on occasion. For high volume print environments, standard or XL ink cartridge options are also available.

Pricing and Availability
The PIXMA TS307 is currently available at all Canon authorised dealers at the recommended retail price of $59.

Press Release - Fuji Xerox Launches Xerox iGen 5 Press with A Fifth Color Toner

New Color On-demand Publishing Systems with Enhanced Color Reproduction Capability

SINGAPORE, March 8, 2016 - Targeting printing companies, service bureaus, data centers and other print service providers, Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd launches Xerox iGen 5 Press color digital on-demand publishing systems – the fastest models among the company’s color production systems using xerography.
Xerox iGen 5 Press provides an optional fifth color in addition to the regular cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK) toners. The fifth color will increase the ability to match a larger gamut of Pantone*1 colors or unknown spot colors without reducing print speed, thereby meeting the needs of customers in the printing industry to reproduce colors correctly while maintaining high printing productivity.
In addition, Xerox iGen 5 Press inherits the proven print features of the iGen series, including the capability of printing 150 sheets per minute (converted to A4 size), when imposed 3-up on the maximum sheet size *2. The models are built on a single platform that can be configured with the exact feeding and finishing options according to a customer’s business needs
The optional fifth color may be orange, green or blue to supplement CMYK toners, expanding the color gamut to accurately reproduce distinctive corporate or brand colors previously difficult to achieve in digital printing. Replacement of an optional color toner can be easily handled by users, allowing them to print small lots on-demand in accurate colors without having to switch to offset printing.
Moreover, highly automated features unique to the iGen series – such as Auto Density Control adopted in the previous model*3 to automatically correct color quality – are also available in the new models. This helps to reduce operators’ tasks by automatically and continuously maintaining the color quality of the printed materials to maximize the system’s operation rate.
Built upon the innovative technologies of the iGen series, Xerox iGen 5 Press will lead the digitization of on-demand printing to open new opportunities in digital printing in the continuously evolving printing industry.

Fuji Xerox Opens Up A Dazzling World of Creative Possibilities with Color 1000i Press

Fuji Xerox introduces Colour 1000i Press which is the industry’s first xerographic production press to offer both metallic Gold and Silver Dry Inks. It will be available in the Asia Pacific region including China. It is aim at high end professional printing market.

The new Gold and Silver Dry Inks are developed by applying Fuji Xerox Emulsion Aggregation (EA) technology. Originally, the ellipsoid-shaped inks, with flat reflective pigments were completely covered by toner particles. By orientating the reflective pigment particles in parallel to the print media, it allows the reflective pigments to reflect light after the image is fused onto the media, thereby achieving a metallic appearance. In addition, the reflective pigments do not allow light to pass through, and enabling metallic printing on various media. With these new Dry Inks, what has been conventionally achieved using offset print can now be delivered through a single production printer, which improves workflows for print companies and thus contribute to the expansion of business with increase printing applications with the God and Silver Dry Inks.
