(SINGAPORE, 24 May 2016) – Sony invites all photography enthusiasts around South East Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) to participate in the #GforGreatness Contest. The contest encourages photography enthusiasts to unleash their visions of photographic creativity. It also aims to showcase outstanding shots from amateur to established artists through the use of G or G Master™ lenses from Sony.

Advances in camera performance and soaring creative ideas require a new approach to lens technology. Through this contest, Sony aims to elevate photography to a realm of visual perfection by capturing the truth and beauty in every image. The #GforGreatness Contest will focus on creativity, originality, and quality – to showcase new creative possibilities for imaging and art with unique lenses from Sony. Interested participants will have to submit their entries using the G or G Master™ lenses. For interested participants who do not own a G or G Master™ lens, you can visit the contest website to find out how to loan these lenses.


The judging panel will include Sony’s α professional photographers from across the region and representatives from Sony. Participants can submit their entries online from 24 May to 19 August, 2016 via the contest website. The contest will run in Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. One winner will be selected from each country and the winner will receive a Sony 85mm F1.4 G Master™ Series lens (SEL85F14GM).

When Wars are fought with Muscles : Nabba Singapore Muscle War 2016



The muscle warriors are back at Nabba Singapore Muscle War 2016. This happened in February this year. It was spectacular. It was "Bloody".Only the strongest win. Oops! I witnessed yet another Body Building competition. As the official photographer for the event, I try to capture the moments of the athletes. The excitement is just amazing. If only you were there to witness the war. Representatives from Korea came for the Muscle War.

BlackBerry strengthens enterprise partner Program FOR RAPID GROWTH

Synopsis

Directed by Singer from a script by Simon Kinberg, Dan Harris, and Michael Dougherty, the film is said to focus on the origin of the mutants.[52][53] Kinberg said that it will take place in 1983 and will complete a trilogy that began with X-Men: First Class.[54][55] Principal photography began in April 2015 in Montreal, Canada and ended in August.[56][57] The film is scheduled for release on May 27, 2016 in North America.[58]

Media Alert: Singtel TV Solidifies “Home of Football” with Premier League Viewership

Synopsis

A sequel to the 2001 hit romantic-comedy "My Sassy Girl" - Cha Tae-hyun returns to reprise his role as Gyun-woo together with Victoria (member of South Korean girl group f(x)) as the new ‘sassy girl’. 

Gyun-woo (Cha Tae-hyun) is having difficulty forgetting the sassy girl. One day he reunites with his childhood sweetheart (Victoria Song), an elementary school classmate from China who was often teased about her broken Korean. Gyun-woo marry her and goes through a honeymoon which no man would ever dream of.

She also began to take up acting in China, playing lead roles in dramas such as When Love Walked In and My New Sassy Girl, and won the Best New Actress Award at the China National Drama Awards.

Victoria is very popular in China, with more than 18 million followers on Weibo, ranking fourth most followed K-pop celebrity as of April 2015. She was ranked 80 on The 2013 Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces and first on Sohu's 2011 Entertainment World's 50 Most Beautiful People. Review

The sequel rely on the success of My Sassey Girl in 2001, but came short of plot in the movie. The original was funny, comic driven and has a emotional component into it. The new movie is a combined production of Korea and China. With a much bigger China market, the movie hope to capture a large audience who still have memories of the 2001 movie. 


The movie is still funny but when compared to the original, I just smile at it but not with the big laughters I had when I was watching the original movie back then. The winning expression of Cha Tae-hyun ( main actor ) still have the same magic as in the original movie. I guessed we love his sad but pitiful expression. In one scene that kept the spirit of the original movie was when Victoria Song, vent her anger, by whipping Cha Tae-hyun with a wet towel. Somehow, it brings back a strong memory of the tortured character of Cha Tae-hyun. 



Mandarin dialogue are spoken and have been some focus of comedy targeting at the China audience. The beautiful countryside of China does help us to appreciate the beautiful scenery of rural China with China minority race dressed in their traditional colourful costume. An attempt to bring Chinese culture into the movie. 


Overall, the movie is still watchable but with it's weak plot, it was not as fantastic as the original movie back in 2001. The impact felt from this movie is also not as great as the previous one. I shall rate this movie at 2.5 / 5
