The Singapore Jewellery & Gem Fair 2015 returned for the third year and it is the largest and most significant fine jewellery event in this region. The event was from 22 to 25 October 2015 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. It occupied over a massive space of about 200 tennis courts, the four days fair presents over 100,000 pieces of fine jewellery in ten product-themed and country pavilions. Jewellery manufacturers and wholesalers from Austria, Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, USA, Singapore and other parts of the world.
22 jewellery businesses were awarded the CaseTrust-SJA Accreditation certificates at opening day of the fair. This will help to enhance the jewellery industry's business practices in Singapore. Policies relating to refunds, practice of providing detailed cost breakdown and knowledgeable sales staff will be part of the stringent polices endorsed by the jewellers.
Diamond Exchange of Singapore hosted a charity dinner on 22 October 2015 titled "Diamonds in the rough". The event celebrates SG50 and comprises a charity auction which proceeds go to the Singapore Repertory Theatre Children's Fund.
